Just let go.

Sometimes, you just have to stop caring about being liked by people. Don’t say ” Will they like me? ” just say ” I’ll be fine if they don’t ” . It is not possible for everyone to like you, not everyone liked Jesus so why do we have to care. A proverb says If one knows the mind of his partner, they will be no friends in the world. That’s true because you don’t know the mind of the person close to you. Some people might act as if they like you but they don’t, all they do is pretend. You don’t have to care about little things that matter, at times. Cause they can cause a lot of problems later, just let everything go, be it impatience, sadness,in satisfaction e.t.c.

I will like to share a short story with you, enjoy.

IF I HAD KNOWN.

Now that you’re going to the university, make sure you face your studies and don’t keep friends, Ava’s mum told her as they were packing her baggage. Remember the more you want to climb the ladder of success, the lesser you have friends Ava continued. You’ve told me this over and over again mum, Ava said. I just want this to be your watchword her mum interrupted.

First day in the university as a fresher, Ava had to survive alone without her parents, she was given a room where she had to live with three other room mates. Two had carry over’s while the third is also a fresher. Little did she know that she was living with — ,story for another day.

She got to know them for some while and concluded that they were nice. She finished the first semester and had gone home for the holidays.

Second semester began and Ava thought she had good perfect room mates so she confided in them. Unfortunately, one of her roommate, Alexis, is the sister of the head of the cultists.

Oh my God, I’m not happy about this project I’ve written and I don’t think the lecturer will like it at all, Ava said. I think the project is perfect, McQueen, Ava’s roommate said. No, it’s not up to my standard, Ava said. If you have a problem with your project, my brother can help you with that cause he is a brilliant project writer, Alexis told her. All you have to do is to go to his room for tutors. Does it have to be his room? McQueen asked. I think its a good idea to have the tutors alone with him, Alexis said. I’m on Alexis side, Ava replied.

(Knock)(knock) Who is there, the Capone of the university asked. Its Ava, your sister’s friend, she answered. He quickly brought out the juice he kept in the fridge and inserted some sedatives into it so she can fall asleep. He then opened the door for her to enter. I need you to help me with my project, Ava said. Okay, at first let me get something for you to drink he said. Guys, to cut his story short, that was how he drugged her then raped her. She was infected with HIV. He fled out of school leaving her ruined and all accusations didn’t seem to be true because according to the school register, he had been rusticated for over two years already. Ava ended up submitting the project she wrote and then she realized it was the best out of the rest. She left her parents disappointed and she had to drop out due to the embarrassment.

She fell into this trap because she trusted friends, she cared too much about everything and couldn’t think of the afterwards.

Just let go of your worries, don’t care about every minor thing that just happens. Not everyone wishes you well, they just want your lives to turn out like theirs. Sometimes the story might not be in this form but anyhow it may be, learn to keep calm and let go. Thanks for reading.
