Candour not Diplomacy.

Candour means the quality of saying what you think openly and honestly.

Diplomacy is a skill in dealing with people in difficult situations without upsetting or offending them.

I am not against anyone of them but I feel being candid is better than being diplomatic. When you are candid, you do things frankly without sugarcoating your words but when you are diplomatic, you tend to tiptoe around the truth more often. You use your tact while talking, your heart does the processing instead of your mind. Although, I do not like tactless people but in applying tactics, you should be candid.

You should be of nonconformity than of sensitivity. You should be frank because when you tiptoe around the truth, you tend to tell lies too.

Before you approach any issue, you should realise that your diplomacy should be juxtaposed with your frankness so you wouldn’t end up hurting anyone and you wouldn’t tell lies.

A Better Way to Begin.

Happy new year to you all! Last year, 3rd January 2020, I wrote a blog post “Don’t be eliminated ” as the theme of the year. If you can read this present post, you weren’t eliminated by grace.

This year, I was writing a post and I got the theme “A new beginning”. I started writing then the theme changed to “A better ending”.

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

Ecclesiastes 7:8 KJV

Usain Bolt quoted “There are better starters than me but I’m a strong finisher“. When you look at the beginning of things, it’s easy to say “it’s a waste of time”, “I don’t know why I’m doing this”, “Will this turn out well?” .

We were told not to despise little beginnings in Zechariah 4:10. We aren’t able to know how something will end by the way it started but we can be rest assured that God who knows the end from the beginning will give us a better ending this year.

All that matters is your willingness to persevere. Work hard with ALL your might . Develop the hunger to succeed .

Trust the process, believe in the outcome, hope for a better ending. Happy new year once again. If it’s your first time here, welcome to the family!

A big thank you to the 700+ readers following this blog. The journey has been so amazing with you all in it. I’m beyond grateful. This year, I hope to have 300+ more readers following the blog. You can help by sharing the posts wherever. Thank you!

The Bible ( King James Version)

Oladewa Laura.

Wear your crown properly.

Your Heavenly Father is the King of kings. You have every right to a crown of your own. Whether invisible or not, the crown of a king or queen must not fall down. Make sure your crown doesn’t. You deserve everything a queen or king deserves. Don’t settle for less. This is just a reminder because I know you will never forget that you are a king or a queen.
